Waterproofing Latex and Cement Based Construction Materials Improver
ADMIX SB430 is a milky liquid admixture with dual application. It can be used as a waterproofing admixture with concrete and mortar, at the same time reduce water content of the mix. The product is based on Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and is non-soluble in water after getting dried.
Performance of ADMIX SB430 in concrete
When mixing with concrete or mortar, the product forms thin layers of non-soluble films in concrete or mortar with maximum waterproofing effect, as well as protecting concrete against aggressive environmental conditions. Water reducing property of the product results in reduction of water content and hence concrete or mortar containing ADMIX SB430 has higher compressive strength. It also reasonably increases flexural, tensile and abrasion resistance of concrete.

Applications
The most important application of ADMIX SB430 is in repairing damaged concretes, floors, beams and precast elements. It is also used for production of durable and abrasion resistance floors with dustproofing property and resistance to mild chemicals. This product can be used for external rendering, waterproofing of hydraulic construction, basements, lift pits, inspection pits, dams and swimming pools.
Effect on hardened concretes
Concrete and mortar containing ADMIX SB430 has minimum permeability, hence better resistance to aggressive environmental conditions. Especially chloride ions and dissolved salts do not penetrate into such structures which result in higher durability comparing to the similar structures without latex.
Packaging
ADMIX SB430 is supplied in 8 kg pails and 220 kg drums.
Compatibility
ADMIX SB430 is compatible with all concretes mixes containing silica fume, fly ash, ground granulated blast or slag cement. This product should not be premixed with any other admixtures, In case of requirement of utilizing other admixtures in concrete, it is highly recommended to add them separately.
Consumption rate
Recommended dosage of ADMIX SB430 is 2 to 7 percent of cement (cementitious materials) content.
How to use
For preparation of thin layer waterproofing renders, 10 kg of ADMIX SB430 should be added to 50 kg of cement plus 50 kg of fine sand, water is used to adjust viscosity. In order to apply thicker waterproofing layer, sand content should be extended up to 150 kg and the size would be bigger.
Storage
This product must be stored in original containers at above +5 C° under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. Frozen product can’t be reconstituted, so should not be used. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.
