Application method & Surface preparation
Surfaces should be sound, stable, clean and free from loose laitance, paint, oil, grease, mold release agent and residual curing compound which may cause debonding. Areas to be repaired should be saturated to prevent absorption, but free water should not exist. The perimeter of the area should be saw cut to a depth of 10 mm and the edges cut as neatly as possible keeping the sides square.The substrate should be prepared to provide uneven surface having at least 5 mm roughness at 20 mm frequencies.
In case the reinforcing bars are rusty, full cleaning is required by means of sand blast or dry brushing. Recoating of steel bars is mandatory using a suitable and long life protective coating.
Mixing
ADMIX RM620 is designed as easy mixable powder and needs water addition only. Use a low speed hand mixer. Measure and pour accurate amount of water required for a 25 kg bag which is between 3.5 to 4.5 liters in the pan. Start adding powder slowly to the water while mixer is working, continuing mixing to achieve a homogeneous paste. Avoid further extra mixing. Add water if necessary, within the limits given instruction until the required consistency is achieved.
Curing
Curing of applied mortar is essential, especially in hot weather or windblown. Curing can be done by clean water, curing compound or PE lamination.
Packaging
ADMIX RM620 is supplied in 25 kg PP bags.
Storage
This product must be stored in original bags on pallets out of direct sunlight and be protected from rainfall and extreme of compaction. Shelf life is 12 months.
Safety awareness
Like other cement based materials, ADMIX RM620 may cause minor irritation. In case of any contact with eyes or skin, wash it immediately with clean water for at least 15 minutes and get medical helps. Use personal safety devices while using this product.
Equipment carefulness
Wash the equipment with water after completion of each phase of application or before break times.
