Air entraining agent for producing micro bubbles
ADMIX MA410 is a liquid admixture which creates micro bubbles in concrete. This product is manufactured based on ASTM C260, AASHTO M154 and Iranian National Standard 2930, as well as other international standards. This product is compatible with all types of cements but due to variety of cement and aggregate’s properties, site tests are always recommended in each project to achieve desire air content.
Performance of ADMIX MA410 in concrete
This product creates micro bubbles in diameter of 40 to 50 microns and the average distance of 200 to 250 microns from each other. This property protects concrete against freeze-thaw cycles and long term erosion. Besides that, it improves pumpability and workability of fresh concrete, this property becomes very important in concretes with poor aggregate portion.

Applications
The most important application of ADMIX MA410 is to produce concretes with permanent exposure to water and freezing, such as dam bodies, pavements and road concrete slabs. Using this admixture in mountain roads and cold ambient is mandatory.
Effect on hardened concretes
Besides stated positive effects of this admixture on fresh concrete, it increases durability of hardened concrete, decrease permeability, and improves life of concrete against environmental aggressive conditions.
Packaging
ADMIX MA410 is supplied in 220 kg drums and 1100 kg IBCs. Bulk delivery is possible based on request.
Compatibility
This product should not be premixed with any other admixtures unless be approved by Damavand Sefid specialists. In case of requirement of utilizing other admixtures in concrete, it is highly recommended to add them separately. This product is compatible with concretes containing silica fume, fly ash or ground granulated blast or slag cement.
Consumption rate
Recommended dosage of ADMIX MA410 is 20 to 80 ml/100 kg of cement (cementitious materials). Dosages outside this range are permissible subject to trial mixes.
Note:Overdosing causes creation of extra air which results in lower weight and less strengths of concrete. Although production of light weight concrete is possible by using higher dosage of this admixture.
How to use
ADMIX MA410 is a ready to use admixture and should be added to concrete at the time of batching. The best effect would be achieved if the admixture be added to concrete mix after adding 70 to 80 percent of water content. Never add this admixture to dry cement or aggregate. Extra mixing is prohibited as may cause escape of micro bubbles.
Storage
This product must be stored in original containers at above +5 °C under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. If frozen, gradually thaw and agitate until completely reconstituted.
